5 foods that help prevent thrombosis

grapes-medicinal-usesThere are several foods from nature that can help prevent thrombosis. Don’t know what is thrombosis?
Thrombosis is described as a situation where blood clot or thrombus is formed within the blood vessels, thus blocking the free circulation of blood through these vessels. Naturally, blood has the tendency to clot spontaneously, through this property, bleeding or hemorrhage is stopped. But when this property effects in the blood vessels, thrombosis occurs.

Below are five foods that help prevent the occurrence of thrombosis:

It has been clearly demonstrated experimentally that genistein present in soy helps prevent the formation of thrombosis in the arteries. Genistein is an important isoflavone present in soy. It prevents the occurrence of thrombosis by inhibiting platelets stickiness, and the formation of thrombin, a substance that initiates the coagulation process.
Thrombosis of the coronary and cerebral arteries leads to heart attack and stroke respectively.
Thus, the regular consumption of soy can be an effective way of preventing thrombosis.

Numerous evidence are constantly becoming known that onions help prevent thrombosis and arteriosclerosis, and improve the circulation of blood in the coronary arteries. Moreover, in 1996, various investigation showed that those who eat more onions and Apples ( two foods that are richest in the flavonoid Quercetin) have a lower risk of dying from heart attack.
Regular onion consumption in any form improves blood flow and reduces the risk of suffering from thrombosis.

The flavonoids found in orange facilitated by their richness in vitamin C inhibits the buildup of platelets that form clots in the blood. Thus, making the consumption of Orange important since it helps improve blood circulation, and inhibits the formation of thrombus within the arteries.

Hesperidin and other flavonoids found in lemon strengthens the capillary walls, and improve the elasticity of arteries, as well as reducing the tendency of excessive blood clot.
The consumption of lemon is highly recommended in cases of thrombosis, arteriosclerosis, edema, and any case in which the free circulation of blood is required.

The blood’s tendency to form thrombus or clots within blood vessels can be reduced by the consumption of grapes, raisins, or grape juice. This can be more beneficial to those who are at risk or have once suffered a stroke.
