Headaches are general head pains, they can occur anywhere within the head. Migraines are a special type of headaches, sharp and
throbbing, which occurs suddenly and may be accompanied by conditions such as nausea, blurred vision and vomiting.

Causes
Headaches can be possibly caused by numerous reasons. They may be the first signs of a tumor or a very serious brain lesion.
Most headaches are caused by muscle contraction and blood flow problems.The main factors that aggravate headaches or migraines are

* Allergies {a body’s rejection of a chemical substance known as antigen}

* Menstruation, this may be particularly during the days preceding it

* Nervous tension

* Stress {sets in when the events of life, whether psychological or physical are beyond one’s ability to cope}

RECOMMENDED DIETS
Once potential causes of headaches and migraines such as tumors have been eliminated, diet is to be considered.There are yet no known foods able to prevent or cure headaches or migraines. But there are certain foods known, which can cause them. Avoiding these foods through the means of reducing their intake or completely eliminating them can be the most effective way of preventing the headaches and migraines.

Foods to be avoided include:

ALCOHOLIC and STIMULANT BEVERAGES, CURED CHEESES and MEATS, CHOCOLATE, ADDITIVES, ICE CREAM, CITRUS FRUITS, DAIRY PRODUCTS, WINE, BEER, WHITE SUGAR and PROTEINS
